MyDeathCare keeps provider information private until it has been reviewed.
This page explains how provider information is handled and how a provider can request correction.
Our Current Provider Policy
MyDeathCare does not publish unverified provider rankings.
During the pilot stage, provider research may be used internally to understand the funeral service market and prepare verification workflows. Public guide pages remain consumer-protection focused.
What Information May Be Collected Privately
Private provider research may include:
- trading name
- legal or registered name where publicly visible or directly confirmed
- phone or WhatsApp
- website
- Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or Linktree
- service area
- public source URL
- source confidence
- verification status
- outreach status
- correction or consent notes
This information is not automatically published.
What Counts As A Source Signal
Source signals may come from:
- official provider websites
- official provider social pages
- public business directories
- public company-report snippets
- direct provider confirmation
A source signal is not the same as endorsement, ranking, official SSM verification, or service-quality proof.
How Providers Can Request Correction
After the domain email is active, providers can email:
hello@mydeathcare.my
Please include:
- business trading name
- legal or registered name, if applicable
- official contact person
- official phone or WhatsApp
- official website or social link
- service areas
- what should be corrected
- whether MyDeathCare may store the corrected business contact for follow-up
What MyDeathCare Will Not Publish Without Review
MyDeathCare should not publish:
- private owner details
- customer or family details
- copied reviews
- unverified price claims
- unverified package claims
- unofficial "best provider" rankings
- provider recommendations without disclosure and verification
Provider Verification Statuses
Possible internal statuses:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| private_unverified | Captured from public research, not ready for public use |
| needs_contact_discovery | A provider may exist, but a reliable contact is missing |
| contacted_pending | CK has contacted the provider and is waiting for clarification |
| provider_confirmed | Provider has confirmed basic business details |
| consent_to_review | Provider allows MyDeathCare to review public listing suitability |
| do_not_contact | Provider declined or should not be contacted again |
MyDeathCare Commitment
Provider information should be handled carefully because families may rely on it during stressful decisions.
The goal is to build a more useful and safer decision-support system, not to create pressure, fake rankings, or unverified commercial claims.
